Alter Ego

Matthew Yglesias has discovered my secret, Emmy award-winning career as a lighting designer. When I can find the time, I am also a Dominican Friar working in Kenya. I am very versatile.

What a fun exercise—who you might have been. I have a namesake who is a professor of music at a local university. I get calls from her students all the time.

You see, I’ve never seen or heard of another “Matthew Yglesias” so these two-names-one-person phenomena freak me out even though they’re obviously quite rare.

Death Match

Kieran Healy proposes a series of Blogger DeathMatches including Matt Yglesias vs. Matt Welch. I’m game if Mr. Welch will rise to the challenge, though I must admit to being somewhat unclear on what the nature of the challenge is…
